Ruby red with violet glints. The aroma is intense and embracing, red fruits, cherries under spirit, on a note of bitter almond.
To the palate, there is a feel persistent velvety sense with pleasant sweet notes of amarena cherries and the end is very long recalling bitter almonds.

Grape harvest:

By hand in boxes, in the third ten days of September.

Area of production:

Bertinoro (Forlì) on the “Tenuta Fulcera” estate. The soil is silty-clay-loam, fine-textured. Spurred-cordon training with a high density of 6,200 vine stocks/hectare. The yield is limited naturally to 60 quintals/hectare. A selection of only the best grapes are used for vinification.

Vinification:

Maceration on the skins for 21 gg with periodical pumping-over and "délestage" procedures. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in steel.

Ageing and refinement:

Ageing for 24 months in French oak “tonneaux” barrels, which have already been used twice or three times. Following this process, natural aromas are added which are chosen from a special recipe that has been refined over the years. Alcohol is added in order to obtain the correct balance of sweet and bitter sensations, which are features of this liqueur. This wine is refined through aging, and is at its best after 5 to 7 years in the bottle.
