Nerone

Deep ruby red colour which underlines its density. The aroma is ample, of violet and ripe red fruits preserved in alcohol mixed up with mineral hints on a background of pepper and juniper.
The flavour is full, intense, dry, harmonious and rich in extracts, with ripe tannins finished by the refinement in wood. Excellent persistence both in terms of aroma and taste, truly elegant.

Grape harvest:

By hand in boxes, in different periods between the second and the third ten days of September.

Area of production:

First hills of Bertinoro (Forlì) on the “Tenuta Fulcera” estate. The soil is silty-clay-loam, fine-textured. Spurred-cordon training with a high density and a maximal yield of 70 quintals per hectare.

Vinification:

Maceration on the skins for 15 – 20 days with periodical pumping-over and "délestage" procedures. Alcoholic fermentation and malolactic fermentation in steel.

Ageing and refinement:

32-month-ageing in French durmast barrels already used twice or three times. At least 6-month-refinement in bottles.
